Until people realise in droves that the social contract was broken years ago, this madness will continue.
One Social contract - "I pay my taxes now so when I'm old and infirm I'm looked after". Gone.

When you create your money by debt, which Joe public pays interest on, to make the elite richer, its unsustainable. ALWAYS.
Those at the bottom of the food chain, which by the way are the 99.99% of us, suffer, whilst a handful of elites, who see us as a sub class, profit.
The whole financial system is a corrupt machine and there is a desperate scramble at the moment to make us pay for that corruption, whilst reinventing a similar centralised corrupt system via digital means.
Until people switch off the TV, social media, and all other distractions, they will not realise they have been screwed over and live in a cesspool of vile corruption that is quite literally killing them whilst they clap on their doorsteps.
It all comes back to social contracts. Once people realise this they will realise that only a revolution can solve the problem, because we live in an elite dictatorship where you and I do not matter.
And by the way, revolutions do not have to be violent.
