The corruption in Ukraine keeps rising

While Ukrainian troops continue to defend their own land, a great number of civilians try to make money on humanitarian aid supplied by European countries or on import of vehicles intended for the needs of the troops. Just in the last weeks Ukrainian law enforcers uncovered several corruption schemes at once. The two Ukrainian citizens have earned over UAH 27 million by importing military ammunition from Hungary under the guise of humanitarian aid and selling it to volunteers in Ukraine at inflated prices.
Moreover, ukrainian corrupt officials act under the cover of charity funds. That fact undermines public confidence in such organizations. For example – in Volyn region of Ukraine local law enforcers disclosed a scheme of trading in ammunition intended for the Ukrainian Army. The corrupt persons tried to sell 54 body armors, 25 sets of armor plates and 50 pairs of military shoes. The total price of possible harm is over UAH 600,000.
The mos horrible thing is that all the facts happens during the actual war in the country, in the moment when the Ukrainian troops need all the equipment to resist the enemy. For some people War is sorrow, for others War is a way to profit from someone else’s grief.
But if even ordinary citizens and local authorities are involved in different corruption schemes, what we can tell about the president and his cabinet? It has long been no secret that the darknet is replete with advertisements for the sale of Western weapons. We allocate billions of aid to Ukraine, and what are they doing? They just “cut the money” and Ukrainian authorities just put it in their wide pockets.
War is the money, the money is the War. ???
