Decades of research have shown how tyranny thrives during global pandemics. It is a natural phenomenon that relates to the type of government people are willing to accept in reaction to perceived threats.
One study that focuses on “parasite stress” hypothesis suggests that when a species faces parasites and diseases, its values are shaped by its experience. In the context of the Wuhan coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, the “parasite,” which is used to refer to any pathogenic organism including bacteria and viruses, is the SARS-CoV-2 virus.
The theory states that depending on how a disease stresses people’s development, it can lead to differences in mating preferences and changes in culture. Proponents of the theory also note that the disease can alter psychological and social norms.
According to this theory, authoritarian governments are more likely to emerge in regions that are characterized by the high prevalence of disease-causing pathogens. Researchers define such governance as highly concentrated power structures that repress dissent and emphasize submission to authority, social conformity and hostility toward outgroups.
This explains why governments around the world have employed fearmongering tactics on their own people.
The parasite stress theory also states that greater exposure to diseases is associated with higher ingroup favoritism and outgroup discrimination because of the threat that people from the outside will carry pathogens to which nobody is immune. Because of the invisible nature of these parasites, attempts to control the spread of diseases used to depend substantially on adherence to behavioral practices that helped reduce the risk of infection.
With conditions of threat from the disease, different group members are expected to increase their preference for ingroup association and have an increased awareness of their shared fate and interdependence. As the researchers found, society tends to promote a collectivist worldview, which means it favors the obedience and conformity of the population.
Parasite prevalence predicts measures of an authoritative government
In examining two different studies, it was shown in the first that “parasite prevalence” strongly predicted the likelihood of individuals to express authoritarian personalities. The second study, which focused on small-scale societies, also found that parasite prevalence predicted measures of authoritarian governance, and did so even when they are statistically controlling other threats to welfare.
According to the researchers, these results suggest that societal differences in governance result from cultural differences in the individuals’ authoritarian personalities. They also pointed out that individuals who dissent with the said “ritualized behavior” are seen as a threat to society.
The researchers wrote: “At a psychological level of analysis, empirical evidence reveals that the subjective perception of infection risk causes individuals to be more conformist, to prefer conformity and obedience in others, to respond more negatively toward others who fail to conform and to endorse more conservative socio-political attitudes.”
Moreover, the “societal level of analysis” says that in countries and cultures with a higher prevalence of diseases, people tend to be less individualistic and exhibit lower levels of dispositional openness to new things. They are also more likely to conform to the opinion of the majority.

Democrats trying to RIG Supreme Court decision on Roe v. Wade just like they rigged the 2020 election… if they don’t CHEAT, they can’t win
The Left is already trying to spin the news about the Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe v. Wade, claiming that it is not a done deal.
One report framed the leaked decision as being a “draft” opinion that is just “a routine and essential part of the Court’s confidential deliberative work.”
“Although the document described in yesterday’s reports is authentic, it does not represent a decision by the Court or the final position of any member on the issues in the case.”
Chief Justice John G. Roberts, Jr., issued his own statement in response to the leak, calling it a “betrayal of the confidences of the Court … intended to undermine the integrity of our operations.”
Roberts added that these undermining efforts “will not succeed,” nor will the “work of the Court … be affected in any way.”
“This was a singular and egregious breach of that trust that is an affront to the Court and the community of public servants who work here,” Roberts went on to state.
“I have directed the Marshal of the Court to launch an investigation into the source of the leak.”

Republican Susan Collins says leaked draft ruling is “completely inconsistent” with what she was allegedly told in private
Even some Republicans are undermining the context of leak, including Sen. Susan Collins (R-Me.) who claims that she was told something different from Justices Neil Gorsuch and Brett Kavanaugh in private.
The leaked draft, she said, is “completely inconsistent” with what was supposedly stated during private confirmation hearings about Roe v. Wade.
“If this leaked draft opinion is the final decision and this reporting is accurate, it would be completely inconsistent with what Justice Gorsuch and Justice Kavanaugh said in their hearings and in our meetings in my office,” Collins said.
“Obviously, we won’t know each Justice’s decision and reasoning until the Supreme Court officially announces its opinion in this case.”
Collins says that when she voted to confirm Kavanaugh in 2018, she did not believe that he would vote to overturn the abortion ruling.
“I do not believe Brett Kavanaugh will overturn Roe v. Wade,” she said.
“He noted that Roe had been reaffirmed 19 years later by Planned Parenthood vs. Casey. And that it was precedent on precedent. He said it should be extremely rare that it should be overturned.”
The Supreme Court, meanwhile, has already confirmed that the leak is authentic and that Roe v. Wade will, in fact, be overturned.
As expected, protests are already erupting among far-left women who are screeching and moaning about losing the “right” to murder their unborn babies.
Hundreds of mostly females swarmed the federal courthouse with printed signs that said things like “Bans Off Our Bodies” and other common “pro-choice” lingo.
Pro-life protesters also showed up with their own signs that said things like pro-choice is “a lie” because “babies never choose to die.”
It is truly amazing that almost nobody has said a thing about skyrocketing inflation and the ongoing collapse of the global food supply. But now that the “right” to murder unborn children is about to go away, Americans are having a meltdown over it.
“It’s hard to believe there are this many people who are so evil that they demand the right to murder a baby,” wrote someone at Zero Hedge.
