Just for a laugh. I sent a message to Tim Quilty MLC. The AEC has not provided the signed writ required to announce the election on Saturday.
That “Writ” must be issued at least one week prior to election and be printed in at least 2 major newspapers in each state.
A copy of the Writ must be available for perusal at each voting station and it was not available. The local MP's are all operating as corporations under ABN's which makes them ineligible to run. Senator Quilty's reply... If you Google AEC writ you should find copies online. There are actually a number of different writs.
For example,
aec.gov.au/election/files/writs/VIC-Senate.pdf
aec.gov.au
Tim Quilty MLC - Liberal Democrats - Northern Victoria.
My Reply to the Senator...
Thanks for trying but the link you sent shows a 'FALSE WRIT.' it's a worthless bit of paper...
1) No lawful writ as there is no royal seal of assent on the writ, as required.
2) No advertisement in at least 2 newspapers, as required.
3) No lawful copy of the writ available at voting booths to show to the electors who request to see it.
Nice try, deserves an A for effort...
