Although at the moment, we seem to have the numbers in the Senate to see the 'MAD Bill' quashed, we can't relax just yet though.
The Senate has until the week of the 25th November to vote on this Bill, and anything can happen between now and then.
Below is a list of the 73 Members of parliament voting for the misinfo/disinfo bill and their email addresses and a letter to send if you can... This may help change their minds once they get so many emails rejecting it...

I am writing to voice my opposition to the Mis-Information Bill. The reason why the right to freedom of expression is enshrined in the USA Bill of Rights as the First Amendment is because history shows that tyrants limit freedom of expression and when that happens there is never a good outcome for the people of that land. The history of Freedom of Expression has been an evolutionary process since prior to the age of Enlightenment and is inalienable right. In-a-lien (as in no one can bring a lien against this right). The Declaration of the Rights of Man and of the Citizen, adopted during the French Revolution in 1789, specifically affirmed freedom of speech as an inalienable right. The French Declaration provides for freedom of expression in Article 11, which states that: The free communication of ideas and opinions is one of the most precious of the rights of man. Every citizen may, accordingly, speak, write, and print with freedom, but shall be responsible for such abuses of this freedom as shall be defined by law. Laws which already exist. Such as defamation and harm not silencing by arbitrary misuse of legislation. Article 19 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, adopted in 1948, states that: Everyone has the right to freedom of opinion and expression; this right includes freedom to hold opinions without interference and to seek, receive and impart information and ideas through any media and regardless of frontiers. Today, freedom of speech, or the freedom of expression, is recognised in international and regional human rights law. The right is enshrined in Article 19 of the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights, Article 10 of the European Convention on Human Rights, Article 13 of the American Convention on Human Rights and Article 9 of the African Charter on Human and Peoples' Rights. Based on John Milton's arguments, freedom of speech is understood as a multi-faceted right that includes not only the right to express, or disseminate, information and ideas but three further distinct aspects: 1 the right to seek information and ideas; 2 the right to receive information and ideas; 3 the right to impart information and ideas The proposed Mis-Information Bill is a violation of all of these and anyone proposing or voting for this should be reported to the international community for their violation of our rights. I do not consent.
?LESSON FOR MANY?
A mouse, looking through a hole in the wall, sees the farmer and his wife open a package. He was terrified to see that it was a mousetrap. He ran to the patio to warn everyone.
-"There is a mousetrap at home!".
The chicken that was cackling and digging says: "excuse me, Mr. Mouse, I understand that it is a big problem for you, but it does not hurt me at all."
So, the rodent went to the lamb and he says the same thing: "Excuse me Mr. Mouse, but I don't think I can do more than ask for you in my prayers."
The mouse went to the cow and she said: "But am I in danger? I think not!" said the cow.
The mouse returned to the house, worried and dejected to face the farmer's mousetrap.
That night a great noise was heard like that of the mousetrap catching its victim, the woman ran to see what she had caught.
In the dark she did not see that the mousetrap caught the tail of a poisonous snake.
The speedy snake bit the woman, the farmer immediately took her to the hospital, she came back with a high fever.
The farmer to comfort her prepared a nutritious soup, grabbed the knife and went to find the main ingredient: the chicken; Since the woman did not get better, friends and neighbors went to visit them, the farmer killed the lamb to feed them, the woman did not get better and died.
And in the end, the husband sold the cow to the slaughterhouse to cover the funeral expenses.
The next time someone tells you about their problem and you think that it doesn't affect you because it's not yours and you don't pay attention to it, think twice, “he who doesn't live to serve, doesn't serve to live”.
The world is not going badly because of the wickedness of the bad, but because of the apathy of the good.
So when someone needs you for their problems, give them your hand or give them a word of encouragement.
May you never lack empathy!
Remember it very well, EMPATHY.
