But the woman surpassed her husband in inhumanity as well, showing how low a man can fall when he has gained unlimited power over others. Among other things, Koch walked around the camp with the whip naked - like in a bad, lowbrow movie. And anyone who dared to look at her was shot on the spot.

After the victory over Nazi #germany, Ilse Koch was accused of selecting prisoners with unusual tattoos, killing them, then making lampshades out of their skin and taking them to her house. No evidence of this was found, however. After the war, she was arrested and hanged herself in her cell in 1967.
