It is actually completely the other way around. Mudbloods are making purebloods sick through shedding.

However, we knew this would happen - the vaccines were always going to increase sickness, and they were always going to blame the unvaccinated.

Ironically, the case is made for segregation - purebloods have an incentive to shun mudbloods.
