Australian law firm AFL SOLICITORS won a landmark case against police for pepper spraying a family. The New South Police sprayed a family for not wearing face masks and failing to show an exemption. The problem was they never had the power to request the exemption and use of force was not lawful.
Young children were pepper sprayed, whilst nearby shopkeepers took the children to help them and take them away from the state sponsored violence.
AFL Solicitors won the case with costs.
The issue as you will see, the police were not wearing masks either.
