Poland Tells Norway to Hand Over Oil Revenue amid Energy Price Spike

Norway should share the “excess” profits it’s been making as oil and gas prices soar amid the ongoing conflict between Russia and Ukraine, according to Polish PM Mateusz Morawiecki.

“But should we be paying Norway gigantic money for gas – four or five times more than we paid a year ago? This is sick,” he said, claiming that the excess of the annual average gas and oil profit “will exceed €100 billion” this year for a country of five million people like Norway.

Morawiecki also urged Poles to go and shame Norwegians over the fat gas profits online to push the country into sharing the wealth: “Write to your young friends in Norway,” he said, “They should share it immediately."

Finnish journalist Juha Korhonen has told RT that the government is suppressing public opinion when it comes to its recent decision for Helsinki to hastily join the NATO military bloc.

“We have a 1,300km (807mi) border with Russia. For 80 years Finns have been learning to coexists with Russia, and no longer seek confrontation,” he said, adding: “This is the reason why they didn’t allow for a referendum."

According to Korhonen, Finns’ are experiencing attacks on their freedom of speech online: “If you have anything to say against NATO you will immediately be labeled an agent of a foreign power, Russia in this case."

British Ambassador Misleadingly Shares 12-Year-Old Photo Implying Russian Book Burning in Ukraine

British Ambassador to Ukraine Melinda Simmons has been blasted online for sharing a photo of a 'burning' at a Ukrainian rally in 2010, seeming to imply that the picture was depicting recent events linked to the Russian military action in the country.

“Burning Ukrainian history books is not denazification. It is the opposite,” Simmons tweeted, before outraged commenters labeled the post as “misinformation” and “embarrassing."

The image appears to come from 2010, when pro-Russian demonstrators held a meeting in Simferopol, Crimea - then Ukraine - and burned several history textbooks as part of the protest.
