Volgens advocaat Gerald Roethof moet de strafzaak tegen zijn cliënt Jos B. opnieuw worden behandeld, nu de rechters niet correct zijn beëdigd. Dat zei hij donderdagavond in het tv-programma Op1.

De dertig raadsheren die verkeerd zijn beëdigd, zouden betrokken zijn geweest bij 1.100 straf- en belastingzaken. Die moeten mogelijk opnieuw worden bekeken. Het is de bedoeling dat eind volgende week alle partijen een brief hebben ontvangen over de situatie en welke mogelijke gevolgen dat kan hebben. Donderdag liet de Hoge Raad al weten halverwege september meer te kunnen zeggen over wat er nu moet gebeuren.
