Réjouissances du Peuple... In Reims on August 27, 1765
This is clearly electrical light. According to our given history, Sir Humphry Davy invented the first light bulb in 1809. This depiction is well before then and in another country.
Not to mention, this kind of electrical lighting depicted in this illustration would be considered highly advanced if it was in the late 1800's, but this is the mid-1700's.
The first notably successful light bulb was made by Thomas Edison, which was revealed to the world in 1879, over a hundred years after this advanced electrical light depiction.

How to Erase Something From History
Here's the spoiler: You can't.
As king of the world with infinite money and power, you'd think that you can erase just about anything you want to. But it is a lot more complicated than that.
Think about how much of our current history and knowledge could be a repurposed instance of something much, much greater.
Some that come to mind are cathedrals, spires, prayers, concerts, old palaces, deserts, obsidian mirrors, the entire bible
