Europe Can't Totally Abandon Natural Gas for Green Energy

Norway's Foreign Minister has rejected the possibility of a quick and immediate switch. Anniken Huitfeldt said it's not possible to reduce the work of the gas industry immediately, especially in Europe, where demand for Norwegian gas is now high.

Europe is desperately seeking ways to reduce its dependence on fossil fuels - at least since its moved to ditch Russian energy - but a rapid transition to green energy is unlikely in the near future.

Ironically, the EU wasn't this hardened on its change to green energy even after numerous summits - that were apparently more words than anything.
