“The "Philadelphia Experiment"; of 1943, was invisibility experiments conducted aboard the USS Eldridge that resulted in full scale teleportation of the ship & crew.

The ship became invisible to the naked eye & disappeared from the space-time continuum. Sailors on the ship were transported beyond this dimension & returned in a state of complete mental disorientation & terror. Some with their bodies in the metal walls of the ship!
