Imagine what will happen when electricity rates in California hit $1 per KWh (Kilowatt hour). Heating or cooling homes will be impossible to afford. Industry will shut down. Grocery stores won't be able to run freezers. Charging electric cars will be insanely expensive.
Electricity costs are being engineered to skyrocket across the country, but will be especially bad in the states with the most aggressive "climate change" regulations where there's very little remaining infrastructure for using fossil fuels to generate electricity.
This means having small local solar "generators" (i.e. some 100W panels and a lithium power storage device with a charge controller and inverter) is going to be a huge cost savings measure moving forward. Small scale local solar is going to make real financial sense soon, but make sure your solar is OFF GRID (not grid tied!).
