GREAT RESIGNATION: Record 4.5mn Americans QUIT Jobs In March
Tuesday’s US Labor Department report revealed an all-time high of 4.54mn Americans walked out of their jobs in March as employers try to return workers to offices, with 11.5mn job openings another record high.
Professional and business services saw a 28% rise in resignations from a year ago, despite many companies offering higher wages, bonuses and holiday packages.
For perspective, before April 2021 there had never been 4mn Americans quitting jobs in a month, but that level has now been breached for 10 straight months.
