They tell you the attack on Ukraine is indiscriminate, crazed, apocalyptic. And then they go strolling around Kiev, when every single one of them is a well known physical and moral coward.
I mean is there anybody left who hasn’t been to Kiev during this rather short war so far? Sending Pelosi shows they are already on page three or four of the VIP list. Who goes next? James Corden?
It’s the first time I’ve seen the capitol city of an invaded nation become the worlds most popular holiday destination. You couldn’t get half these people to walk around Chicago or the UK’s Birmingham without fifty bodyguards and a stab vest, but they all stroll through Kiev like it’s a particularly inviting branch of Waitrose.

I’m wondering if covid devastated tourist boards all over the world are urgently requesting a Russian invasion, as it really does wonders for the number of rich people wanting to visit. If I was an enterprising travel agent trying to drum up a bit more interest in the Cotswolds I’d be frantically ringing in sightings of a Russian tank division charging along Fosse Way in the vicinity of Stowe-on-the-Wold.
After all, there are already people gullible enough to think Putin’s master plan is to seize places like Gloucester. Why not give their bed wetting dreams some impetus? Pelosi alone would boost the economy with a sudden demand for six thousand extra bottles of Sauvignon ~ Daniel Jupp.
