EU wants to boost legal migration
In its irresponsible migration policy, the EU Commission now wants to bring "talent" from Morocco, Egypt, Tunisia or Nigeria into the EU on a grand scale.

Illegal migration to the EU is problem enough. In the EU, asylum applications almost doubled in the first quarter of this year compared to last year. We know from previous years: Around two-thirds of the applicants do not receive any kind of protection title - and thus have no right to be here. Nevertheless, Brussels is sticking to the dogma: anyone who makes it to the external border must be let in. Urgently needed refoulements are not tolerated - as could be seen recently in the resignation of Frontex head Leggeri, whose organization was accused of exactly that.
Nevertheless, the EU Commission now also wants to promote legal migration. The measures were presented last week as part of the EU asylum and migration pact. With so-called "talent partnerships", workers are to be channelled into the EU on a grand scale. The "talents" are to come from Morocco, Egypt, Tunisia, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nigeria and Senegal. EU Commissioners Schinas and Johansson sang the familiar song about the supposedly so positive effects of migration and the equally supposed shortage of skilled workers. No mention of the fact that these workers are then lacking in the countries of origin. No mention of the fact that they will then increase the pressure on the labor markets in the EU and lower wage levels. Once again, it is clear that EU migration policy is irresponsible and against the interests of European citizens.
