Digital media provides great opportunities for think tanks. The Menzies Research Centre’s Watercooler podcast and YouTube channel have given us the ability to engage thousands of people every month for the last five years.
Now we’re taking the next step by launching a weekly TV show produced and broadcast on ADH TV, a new digital platform available through an app on smart mobile devices and smart TVs. You can watch my launch announcement here.
I’ll be hosting Battleground every Friday night from 8pm to 9pm. It will be available on demand at any time either as a video or podcast. I’ll be joined by smart thinkers from Australia and overseas for long-form discussions about policy and ideas.
Our partnership with Australian Digital Holdings will give us a far wider reach and lift the quality of the production to a high professional standard. ADH is the new home to Alan Jones who broadcasts from 8pm - 9pm every Thursday. From next week, ADH will also broadcast a show hosted by Fred Pawle, a former communications director at the MRC and a gifted journalist.
