Heart Pearls

A poem I wrote when I was around 12 years old

Heart Pearls - by Frances Amaroux

River flowing in moonlight strands

Whispers silently a peaceful song

Weeping willows sigh of love

The jasmine drowses my soul in dreams

Sweet grass pillows my head in a cloud

Causing my mind to drift and swirl

In the eddying mists of time.

The silver sound of a nightingale

Sings of the yearning in my heart

Plucks at my throat

Till the healing water springs from my eyes

Trickling like miniscule pearls

To the empty well in my heart
