Many men are unaware of andropause and its consequences. Here are a few facts to help you take action

Andropause is commonly known as male menopause, although they are not the same thing. They are two processes that occur in very different ways and the male one happens in a less marked period of time. It consists of the gradual decrease in the production of the hormone testosterone. It happens after the age of forty and in the process the ability to procreate is lost.

Among the symptoms of 'andropause' are constant fatigue, headaches and decreased libido.
Andropause is something that does not occur equally in all men, since in many cases the ability to procreate can be maintained until the age of 70. This makes it a 'myth' for many men and they refuse to accept this diagnosis.

Not only men over 40 years of age can present symptoms of andropause. It is also possible after an orchiectomy (surgical removal of one or both testicles). This happens in the case of chronic conditions, such as testicular cancer.

Symptoms of andropause

Andropause has very marked symptoms, but they can occur over the years. For this reason, many specialists prefer to act preventively in the face of declining testosterone production.

The common and recurrent symptoms of andropause are:

Constant fatigue
Headaches
Decreased ejaculatory potency
Decreased libido
Extreme dryness of skin and hair
Heavy night sweats
Increased irritability
Depression, nervousness and anxiety

Better not.
They are very similar to those of stress, which is why they could go unnoticed or be misinterpreted.

It is important to have medical check-ups to control the level of testosterone if you notice any of these symptoms, and periodically a check-up is not superfluous to check that everything is working normally.

How can it be treated?

Men undergo various treatments to increase testosterone. There are very safe drugs to replace it in patients with hypogonadism (the technical name for the lack of this hormone), although it should be taken into account that it is normal for sexual performance, metabolism and psychological factors related to libido to change with age.

A balanced diet, rich in proteins and avoiding excesses, stimulates the production of testosterone.
Some people seek to increase their musculature and achieve greater muscle definition, or to improve their erection, and for this they opt to increase testosterone production with dietary supplements, which is not advisable if the cause is not confirmed by a doctor. The "natural" products that can be purchased are not without controversy. Some may have risks and be contraindicated if you have cardiovascular problems, apnea or prostate cancer.

How to stimulate testosterone production

First of all, with a balanced diet and high protein intake, strict diet and avoiding excesses. Correct rest and high-impact physical training have also been linked as beneficial for testosterone production.

As part of the 'treatment' for the production of this hormone, some recommend having regular sexual encounters. One study revealed that men who have sex 3 or more times a week have a 70% higher testosterone production compared to men who have sex once or twice a week.

Just as a person with a deficiency of this hormone has very specific characteristics, men who have high levels of testosterone production may have better physical endurance, mood, responsiveness and better dilated blood vessels. In any case, it is not advisable to take supplements on your own initiative. The fact that some people live past the age of 50 without showing signs of andropause has more to do with prevention and luck than with such measures.

So women, they suffer too ??♀️??♀️???
