In reality you'll find it's a choice between normie illusions, they want to believe in the illusion they can stop the flu more than they want to believe the other illusion that they can stop Putin..
If we were to tell them straight:
No masks don't stop the flu, Europe will keep buying Russian gas while pretending it's not, and Putin will achieve his military objectives regardless of what anybody says or does, including NATO.
