Myanmar ex-Leader Jailed For 5 Years - Faces Over 100 YEARS More For Other Charges

Former Myanmar leader Aung San Suu Kyi has been sentenced to half a decade behind bars on corruption charges for apparently accepting gold bars and $600k in bribes.

The 76-year-old has also been charged with breaching Covid rules, violating election and state secret laws, incitement and more corruption, with total maximum sentences of over 100 years.
