When a human being is in a normal waking state, his ego is able to exert a certain control over a certain part of his material consciousness and subconscious and also to experience this part quite consciously. This enables the human being to consciously place ideas in this part of his consciousness, whereby the realisation of the ideas then happens unconsciously. It is only the effects of the ideas that the human being becomes aware of again.
A great many human beings are labouring under the misapprehension that considerably more can be achieved with a greater degree of effort. This is a fundamental error.

Wenn der Mensch sich in seinem normalen Wachzustand befindet, vermag sein Ego über einen gewissen Teil seines materiellen Bewusstseins und Unterbewusstseins eine gewisse Kontrolle auszuüben und diesen Teil auch ganz bewusst zu erleben. Dadurch vermag der Mensch ganz bewusst Ideen in diesen Teil seines Bewusstseins hineinzustellen, wobei dann die Verwirklichung der Ideen unbewusst geschieht. Erst die Wirkungen der Ideen kommen dem Menschen wieder zum Bewusstsein.
Sehr viele Menschen sind der irren Ansicht, mit einem grösseren Mass an Anstrengung könne wesentlich mehr geleistet werden. Das ist ein grundlegender Irrtum.
