Mental energies arise from the thoughts and feelings that a person nurtures and cultivates over a period of time, which he can feel in both a negative and a positive way if he is sensitive to them. Negative, bad, and untrue thoughts and feelings in particular trigger strong energies that he becomes aware of as feelings of fear, anxiety, jealousy, hatred, revenge, grief and retaliation because he is able to perceive them particularly strongly. The truth is, however, that he rejects these thoughts and feelings because he does not want to acknowledge them, even though he perceives them.
