The British Medical Journal used to publish a report every few years outlining how much of medicine is based on actual scientific evidence.

The last report, published in 2013 found that just 11% of medical treatments are 'beneficial' and 50% have 'unknown effectiveness'.

People are under an illusion that medicine is somehow a completely scientific evidence based practice and that everything they do is validated and proven.

I wonder why they stopped publishing this information?
