So, they’re rolling out “defibrillators” for homes to help with sudden heart failures.

I have been a First Aid practitioner for 33 years. Since AED’s became a thing, we were always taught that they can’t start a heart that has stopped.

They only help return a heart to “regular rhythm” if rhythm becomes abnormal.

If a heart has stopped (flatlined), the only way to restart it is through CPR and drugs (adrenaline). CPR will keep the oxygen going to the brain and organs until the pro’s arrive.

If, through CPR you manage to get the heart vibrating at all, a defibrillator will help, then.

So, learn CPR.

The idea of “jumpstarting” a stopped heart, so I was repeatedly taught, came from misrepresentation of these machines by Hollywood, doing things that they cannot do.

Even today, a simple internet search will tell you that these devices cannot restart a stopped heart.

But the Government and Media will have you believe otherwise. ❤️??
