“It’s not been made official. It was put out there to make people think they’re withdrawing the mandates and give people hope,” said Christensen.

The military law expert with Valour Law is representing 300 CAF members in a class action lawsuit seeking hundreds of millions in damages for lost income, pensions, and promotions.

It’s about more than mandates.

“It’s a lawsuit to hold Canadian Armed Forces accountable for their abusive actions towards their members,” said Christensen.

“The mandate itself is just a perfect example of what happened once those directives were brought down and how people were treated by the chain of command.”

“There are steps that some COs (commanding officers) have taken that, if they did that to a prisoner of war, they’d be in the Hague being charged with war crimes — against their own people.”

The ‘leadership’ some demonstrated against non-compliant members can be summed up in one word.

Sadistic.
