Here is a thought to ponder! Legalize all drugs!!!!! Have free drugs in fact, totally killing off the drug trade overnight, Have safe rooms where you can get whatever drugs you want clean needles etc. Would stop the crime associated with drug use overnight because there would be no need. Also, offer counseling services and education about drug use.
I remember when CB radios were illegal and everyone wanted one and Dick Smith pushed for its legalization and won. Worst thing he could ever have done killed off the demand and he ended up with a warehouse full of radios he could not sell.
