❗Russia “Most Significant and Direct Threat to Alliance Security” – NATO Chief Jens Stoltenberg
Main points from NATO Sec. Gen Jens Stoltenberg’s statement Monday, ahead of Madrid summit this week:
▪️Alliance will name Russia as the “most significant and direct threat to security of NATO” at summit
▪️NATO will increase number of Rapid Response Force from 40,000 to "well over 300,000"
▪️Alliance will create weapons depots on eastern flank and form forces specifically designed for operations in this region
▪️NATO will adopt a program to support Ukraine, including re-equipping its army with alliance weapons.
