Okay here is a thing, bare with me and you may be enlightened by the end.
My pet hate is fuel prices. I filled up at Apco Grovedale this morning $1.74 place was packed. Drove past the BP $1.81 no customers at all. Drove past the Ampol $1.79 no customers also. Now keep in mind the BP had a total refit of tanks and pumps just recently. I could imagine the bill would be in the millions, just hold that thought. I then drove to Waurn Ponds for another item and drove past the Waurn Ponds BP which is currently undergoing a similar refit of tanks and pumps and another multi million dollar fit out. They say there is no money in petrol. They make their real money out of selling chocolate bars etc!!!
Here is my question
Why is BP spending millions of dollars on upgrading their service stations underground tanks when electric cars are on the rise and petrol is being phased out some say as early as 2030? WHY are they spending this kind of money?
