ALLEGED MASS MEDIA BRIBE OF $4.5 MILLION TO HAVE THE SOUTH AUSTRALIAN GOVERNMENT ACT BEYOND POWERS
I recently read a letter to Australian PM (CEO) Anthony Albanese that covered a range of topics including the South Australian Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC), born in 2013 after a difficult birth.
The author reminded me how SA politicians doggedly insisted that there was no need for such a body because there was no corruption in South Australia. (LOL!)
No different to former SA Premier Mike Rann and his crooked cronies insisting that there wasn’t a pedophile plague in South Australia, so no need for the Mulligan Inquiry. When the inquiry concluded, Rann and his Attorney General disgracefully slapped an 80 year Suppression Order on nearly 2000 known pedophiles who roam free to this day.
Since reading the letter to Anthony Albanese, I have been wondering what the point is of the SA ICAC. How infuriating to learn that the SA ICAC has been unlawfully ball and chained by the same ilk of politicians who insisted for decades that there was no corruption in SA!
The author writes:
“When rumours began to circulate in early 2022 to the effect that the South Australian ICAC was getting ready to prosecute a number of politicians and possibly other leading figures in South Australia as well, the South Australian parliament urgently rushed legislation through both houses of parliament preventing any such investigation and prosecution of South Australian politicians and South Australian police from ever taking place.”
If there has been no corruption in South Australia, then why was there a need for legislation prohibiting investigation and prosecution? And, why was there a need for the legislation to be rushed through both houses of parliament? Could it possibly be that an earlier mass media bribe of $4,500,000 to have the South Australian government act beyond powers – ultra vires – et cetera, be one of the major concerns that have occupied the minds of leading members of the South Australian parliament?
“A bribe is like a magic stone in the eyes of him who gives it; wherever he turns he prospers.” - Proverbs 17: 8 (Revised Standard Version)
And, it seems most likely to me that many of those occupying the comfortable seats in the various legislatures know that there has been something very fishy about our system of government, and that it has been that way for a number of decades."
I wholeheartedly agree with the author of the letter to Anthony Albanese and now feel it is my duty to write to the SA ICAC with my concerns about South Australia’s overtly corrupt politicians. The alleged $4.5M bribe needs to be urgently investigated.
