I find it difficult to write something here ... I'm so used to self-censorship to protect my reputation (work) that being able to tell the world what I'm working on is hard.
I tried explaining it on LinkedIn and my post was taken down and my knuckles severely smacked.
I tried telling my friends on Facebook and apparently my job is against community standards - at least the side I'm on - so in danger of being thrown into Facebook jail for a month - for talking about my job!
I obviously fared no better on Twitter - which I'm only on because back when I got my first degree Twitter was king - what with the Arab Spring etc ... (funny how Twitter was all about bringing free speech to nations then eh?)
So here I am - finally able to speak the unspeakable without fear or shame or ridicule.
Friends - I am a lawyer fighting the Western Australian government mandates - and I'm about to take on the Australian Human Rights Commission which has sat on its fat hands these past 2 years while our freedoms have been taken away.
Oh my, yes, that does feel better.
Funny aside - I came to the law late in life and my husband and I both hate lawyers - so you can imagine how hard it is to admit I am one
Conquer Your Goals with NDIS Assistance with Daily Living
Aastha Community Services
Living with a disability does not mean that a person has to compromise on their independence and life goals. Disability support schemes around the globe are helping people with disabilities to pursue employment opportunities, economic independence, personal hobbies, self-sufficiency and improved quality of life in general. The National Disability Insurance Scheme has helped open up new avenues in life to its participants through Core Supports like Assistance with Daily Living.
Assistance with Daily Living is a support category that helps the NDIS participants to carry out daily personal activities, household chores like mowing the lawn, cooking, cleaning and assistance with their medical needs etc. Having a capable support worker around to help them with these activities will drastically improve the living conditions of people with disabilities. They no longer have to hold themselves back from applying for a job or joining higher education because these support workers will always be there to attend to their disability needs. Assistance with Daily Living is available at two levels: Standard and Higher Intensity. When the participant has complex health care needs, they may need the help of a support worker who has pertinent qualifications and experience. In those cases, higher intensity assistance is recommended. Registered NDIS service providers like Aastha ensure that the person with the disability becomes independent over time rather than being dependent on the support systems all their life. Through customised care plans and constant encouragement, we help our clients conquer their NDIS goals.
Breaking the disability barriers and living the life you want is no longer a battle that you have to fight alone. Help is available for the NDIS participants at every step in the process. Contact us today to begin your journey towards an independent life.

Better Plans Bring Better Results: Benefits of NDIS Support Coordination
Aastha Community Services
Support Coordination is a capacity building support from the NDIS that helps the participants to access support and services effectively. Not only does a support coordinator help the participant to understand their plan better, but they also assist the participant in planning and coordinating various supports and services. Having a support coordinator at their service will help people with disabilities to get better results out of their NDIS plans. https://www.aastha.com.au/blog..../better-plans-bring-
Gradually over time, the individual will develop the skills and confidence to coordinate the supports on their own. Like all the other NDIS supports, Support Coordination also falls into the purview of a ‘reasonable and necessary’ assessment. Therefore, the level of support coordination funded in an NDIS plan, as well as whether support coordination is included in your plan at all will differ from person to person. The services of a support coordinator can be immensely helpful when you are getting ready for your Plan Review meetings, entering into service agreements and making service bookings. They will simplify all the complicated details and policies for you so that you can make informed choices and have complete control over the services that you are signing up for. Experienced support coordinators who are working with registered NDIS service providers like Aastha will act in your best interest at all times by helping you prepare for unprecedented events like shifting to a new house or going to a hospital in an emergency. At the end of the day, the goal is to build your confidence and ability to take care of yourself and your supports.
Support coordination is one of the most beneficial support that a participant can access through the NDIS. It will drastically improve the quality of services that you receive and help you achieve your goals quicker. Contact us today to know more about our support coordination services.
