EU ‘must’ arm Ukraine to end conflict – but “not in any way"
European Union chief Josep Borrell said Wednesday that it is necessary for the bloc to continue providing arms to Ukraine to put pressure on the Kremlin, so that the conflict with Russia does not end in Kiev’s defeat.
“ We must continue to support Ukraine. Therefore, we must continue to arm Ukraine and provide even more support. We want to give more weapons. This is what Ukrainians expect from us, and this is what we are doing, and we must do even more and faster," Borrell said, speaking at the European Parliament.
Borrell also noted that the EU has already provided Ukraine with €1 billion worth of arms.
