This rule states and teaches that only as much as is necessary should be said, regardless of whether the subject is sensitive or tough. If, for example, the subject is rich in learning, short explanations encourage the listeners to think about everything for themselves and try to understand it all, which in turn means that sooner or later, relevant questions will be asked that require further explanations. This can of course take time, from a few minutes to several years, during which everything is thought through and understood. This is the inevitable development of oral learning, which begins with children at an early age, when their teachers explain all kinds of things to them and they have to answer questions. Depending on the case, however, it is also the case that the person speaking and explaining removes the basis for unnecessary speculation if certain sensitive things and topics are only addressed or explained to the extent necessary. By sensibly only talking as much as necessary and avoiding superfluous discussions, the person speaking, explaining, or teaching does not have to bear responsibility if misunderstandings arise among the listeners due to misinterpretations.
