You set standards for all human beings far into the future in terms of humanity and being human, in terms of self-control, self-direction and independence, in terms of progress and generosity, in terms of love and neighbourly love, in terms of friendship and helpfulness – and above all in terms of modesty and restraint. No one who knows you more closely and tries to do you justice as a person and to grasp a tiny corner of your personality can escape the charm and goodness you radiate and with which you surround the human beings who love and appreciate you, even if they can never fully understand you and can never grasp the full range of your character and your human beinghood. You are, with your love and wisdom, with your humanity and friendship and the affection that you show to all life and above all to all human beings, the bright ray in whose light the creative truth shows itself and, as someone stated, who endeavoured to do you justice: You are the forefinger of Creation!

Niemand, der Dich näher kennt und sich bemüht, Dir als Mensch gerecht zu werden und einen winzigen Zipfel Deiner Persönlichkeit zu erfassen, vermag sich Deinem Charme und Deiner Güte zu entziehen, die Du ausstrahlst und mit denen Du die Menschen umgibst, die Dich lieben und schätzen, auch wenn sie Dich niemals völlig verstehen und die volle Bandbreite Deines Charakters und Deines Menschseins niemals erfassen können. Du bist mit Deiner Liebe und Weisheit, mit Deiner Menschlichkeit und Freundschaft und der Zuneigung, die Du allem Leben und vor allen Dingen allen Menschen entgegenbringst, der helle Strahl, in dessen Licht sich die schöpferische Wahrheit zeigt und, wie jemand feststellte, der sich bemühte, Dir gerecht zu werden: Du bist der Zeigefinger der Schöpfung!
