Albanese government ripping 'the rug out from underneath' Indigenous communities
CLP Senator Jacinta Nampijinpa Price says many people are calling on the government to keep the cashless welfare card and to not “rip the rug out from underneath” them.
The Albanese government is seeking to remove the cashless welfare card from remote communities which many have called to retain.
“The overwhelming message is that it is working for people,” Ms Price told Sky News Australia.
“That's why these organisations are calling for it to be voluntary”.
