Like Minded Walkers,
Tuesday 23 August: Binna Burra to walk the 12km Dave’s Creek Circuit. This walk has a great variety of scenery and views and is one of the most popular walks in the Lamington National Park.
There are slight inclines on the way out but no real hills or steps but the distance will be good training for the walks out at The Main Range in September.
You will need boots or runners with a good tread. Wear layered clothing that can be put in your backpack as you warm up. Bring morning tea to have at Surprise Rock.Lunch will be back at Binna Burra so bring your own or eat at the kiosk.Make sure you have enough water. Bring poles if you like using them.
The road up to Beechmont closes at 8.30am for repairs so we must be away from Riverlea on time at 7.30 am .It reopens at 2.30pm to come down but if we are finished before then we can come back the Canungra Way.
Meeting Place: Vince Hinde Park,Nerang next to Riverlea Waters Drive.
Departure Time 7.30 am.
Petrol Contribution: $7 but a bit more if we come back via Canungra.
