I would like to use this opportunity to remind the German Chancellor and every other German who happens to be interested in the Holocaust that the Palestinians are Hitler’s last victims …
I would also feel the necessity to mention that most often, it is the victims who define their discourse of victimhood. We don’t tend to allow rapist to decide what rape victims are allowed to say. Similarly, we don’t let Nazis decide what Jews can say about the Holocaust. But when it comes to the dispossessed Palestinians, it is always the oppressor who insists that the discourse of the oppressed must be shaped by the oppressor’s sensitivities.
