THE CONTEXT: It’s official - An email was sent out to Victorian School Staff confirming that effectively from the start of Term 3, staff in mainstream schools will no longer be required to meet vaccination requirements to work. Note that this was sent out by the Department of Education, which means they will not be mandating via departmental policy.

As posted over the weekend, this comes straight off the back of epidemiologists, Catherine Bennett and Nancy Baxter, telling a Victorian parliamentary inquiry last week that “the two-dose vaccine mandate for most industries was no longer necessary.”
